Indoor Walking & Running Track in Toronto

A handful of Toronto rec centres have indoor tracks circling above the gym, and in January they are the best-kept secret in the city. Tracks are typically 1/10th to 1/13th of a mile, so 10 to 13 laps makes a mile — lap counts are posted at the entrance. Etiquette is simple: walkers to the outside lane, runners inside, and direction usually reverses daily or weekly (a sign will say). York Recreation Centre, North Toronto Memorial, Etobicoke Olympium, and Regent Park all have well-used tracks. Some centres also run women-only track hours.

Cost
