Editorial Policy

GetMovingTO publishes two kinds of content: data sourced from the City of Toronto Open Data Portal, and editorial guidance written by our team. This page explains how we handle both.

Data

Facility and drop-in schedule data is synced daily from the City of Toronto Open Data Portal. We do not edit City data. Where the City's data is incomplete or ambiguous we say so rather than guessing.

Editorial content

Neighbourhood guides, activity explainers, FAQs, and blog posts are written by the GetMovingTO team based on first-hand visits, the City's published policies, and community feedback. Opinions about specific centres are clearly presented as opinion.

Corrections

If something is wrong, tell us via the contact form and we will correct it. Material corrections to editorial content are noted on the page.

Independence

We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or paid by the City of Toronto. The site carries advertising, which never influences editorial content or which centres we feature.
